There is currently a very big gap between Inter and Borussia Dortmund when it comes to the valuation of Manuel Akanji, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Il Giornale, there is a major obstacle in Inter’s pursuit of Manuel Akanji and there has not been any sign from the Bundesliga side that they will be willing to lower his asking price of €15-20 million.

Inter have suggested the route of Borussia Dortmund giving the Swiss defender a new contract as his current one only has one year left to run which excludes a loan deal.

If he signed a one-year extension at the german club, Inter could then take him on loan and there could be an agreed fee to pay next summer to make the deal permanent.

Manuel Akanji wants to make the move and he is totally out of Edin Terzic’s project.
