Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio has provided confirmation that Inter no longer consider defender Milan Skriniar to be for sale.

Reporting live on air before the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Spezia, Di Marzio explained that Inter President Steven Zhang has taken the decision to no longer listen to offers for Skriniar, whilst he also gave a timeline for when Inter could sign Francesco Acerbi from Lazio.

Skriniar’s situation has been uncertain amid serious Paris Saint-Germain interest even heading into the last couple of weeks of the transfer window, but it now looks to be much clearer.

With PSG’s interest having tailed off recently, and given that coach Simone Inzaghi made very clear that he expects to keep hold of the Slovakian, the Nerazzurri are now ready to say no to any offers for the 27-year-old.

“Yesterday Inter took Skriniar off the transfer market,” Di Marzio explained, “Zhang communicated it to the directors and to Inzaghi. He can’t be touched by anyone and, on the contrary, there will soon be talk of a contract extension.”

He updated on the newest improved offer for Skriniar, reporting that “Yesterday PSG made a new bid which only increased the add-ons included. Inter not only refused it, but also made clear that at the moment they won’t accept other offers.”

Di Marzio also gave an update on the situation of Acerbi who could be Inter’s last signing of the summer to take the place of Andrea Ranocchia, stating that “Yesterday there was a meeting with Lazio, in which the teams both proved to be open to a loan deal with a purchase option.”

“I believe that between Monday and Tuesday it can be wrapped up,” he noted, “which should make Simone Inzaghi happy as he’s already worked with him before at the Biancocelesti.”
