Inter will offer defender Milan Skriniar personal terms in line with those of Marcelo Brozovic and Lautaro Martinez in order to try and convince him to sign a contract extension.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri will be ready to go to around €6 million net per season in their offer to the Slovakian, up from the €3.8 million net per season that he currently earns.

Prior to the start of the summer transfer window, the Nerazzurri had looked to be willing to offer Skriniar €4.5 million net per season on a new deal, around what midfielder Nicolo Barella earns at the club.

However, the situation has been changed by the fact that Paris Saint-Germain had been pursuing Skriniar for much of the summer, and had made him an offer of over €9 million net per season, which the player would have been happy to accept had the two clubs agreed a deal.

Now PSG’s pursuit of Skriniar is all but finished, however the Nerazzurri will respond in their contract offer, which cannot go as high as what the Parisians would have been willing to offer, but can put the Slovakian’s earnings in line with those of top players like Brozovic and Martinez.
