Italian journalist and commentator Fabio Caressa has said that he liked how Federico Dimarco played against Lecce last weekend, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking whilst on his YouTube channel, via FCInter1908, Fabio Caressa discussed how some inter players fared in the win over Lecce in Puglia last Saturday.

He singled out Federico Dimarco and Denzel Dumfries as the players that really impressed him in the game.

Denzel Dumfries did not start the match but he came on in the second half and then scored the winning goal in the 94th minute when he bundled a corner into the net at the far post.

As for Federico Dimarco, he took the place of Alessandro Bastoni on the left of the back three and had a good game.

“In Lecce in Inter I liked both Dimarco and Dumfries. The Dutchman had the merit of scoring goals, which is never easy, and as a result he ends up in my top XI of the first day of the championship.”

It is seeming likely that Federico Dimarco will play on the left wing in the game against Spezia on Saturday evening.
