Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi looks to be getting closer and closer to making the move to Inter on loan.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who report that things are heading in the direction of the move for the 34-year-old following another meeting between his agent and Biancocelesti President Claudio Lotito.
Acerbi is one of the main names on Inter’s list of replacements for Andrea Ranocchia who left to join Monza earlier in the summer, as he would be a stylistically similar replacement, although they have yet to make the decisive move to sign him.
However, over the past few days there has been significant movement in the situation as Lazio have opened up to the possibility of an initial loan deal for the 34-year-old who they want to offload before the transfer window finishes.
Inter will want to get a deal wrapped up within the next week or so with the end of the window just around the corner, and Acerbi’s agend Federico Pastorello is working to get it done in talks with Lazio President Lotito.
