Inter defender Milan Skriniar never pushed for a transfer away and always behaved in an exemplary and professional matter despite being well aware that Paris Saint-Germain were trying to sign him this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 27-year-old has always shown a willingness to commit himself to the Nerazzurri in the event that a move to PSG were to fall through, which now looks to be the case.

Skriniar had been willing to make the switch to PSG had the two clubs agreed a deal, with the Slovakian ready to earn substantially more and interested in the Parisians’ sporting project, whilst he understood well that a big sale would be important for the Nerazzurri financially.

However, at no point did the Slovakian become impatient or push for a move to happen, as he is still happy in Milan and would have no issue with remaining at Inter.
