Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi has come in for praise for how he set up his team in a comfortable 3-0 Serie A win over Spezia yesterday evening.
As highlighted by Italian news outlet L’Interista, the reviews for the coach have been unanimously positive in the player ratings for the match that have come out in Italian media.
Inzaghi had needed to resort to Plan B in Inter’s first match of the season away to Lecce, being very aggressive with his use of substitutions after it became clear that the initial gameplan was not proving to be too effective.
Yesterday evening, by contrast, the coach’s Plan A worked just fine against Spezia as the Nerazzurri patiently imposed their style of play and carved out the openings they needed to put three past the Ligurians whilst allowing next to nothing at the back.
The Gazzetta dello Sport, the Corriere dello Sport, Tuttosport, and TuttoMercatoWeb all found Inzaghi’s work to be worthy of a 7/10 grade, whilst L’Interista went a little lower with a score of 6.5/10.
