Inter are not worried that the interest of French side Marseille will interfere with their getting a deal wrapped up to sign defender Francesco Acerbi from Lazio.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri are aware that Marseille have registered an interest in signing the 34-year-old, but do not expect that they will be beaten to his signature by the Ligue 1 club.

Inter have been reported to be getting closer and closer to a deal with Lazio on loan, which could be done within the next few days.

However, the agreement is not over the line just yet, and reports from French media have indicated that Marseille would be ready to rival the Nerazzurri for Acerbi’s signature in the event that they miss out on signing Manchester United’s Eric Bailly.

However, the Nerazzurri do not believe that the French side’s interest is very serious, and in any event feel assured that Acerbi’s priority is to join Inter.
