Bari are ready to join the race to sign young Inter Milan goalkeeper Filip Stankovic this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

22-year-old Serbian goalkeeper Stankovic is now back at Inter following a loan at Sampdoria last season.

Stankovic had been the starting goalkeeper for the Blucerchiati last season in Serie B.

However, it was just a season-loan loan deal for the Serb in Liguria.

And since Sampdoria failed to win promotion to Serie A, they have not signed Stankovic on a permanent basis.

Therefore, the question is what the next move is for Stankovic.

Reportedly, Sampdopria would like to bring Stankovic back for next season.

Meanwhile, the Ligurians are far from the only club with an interest in the Serb’s signature.

Venezia are keen to bring Stankovic in as a reinforcement in goal following promotion to Serie A. And Empoli are also suitors for the 22-year-old, offering another potential top flight destination.

However, the Corriere report, there could also be another solution in Serie B for next season.

Bari Join The Race To Sign Inter Keeper Filip Stankovic

Puglian club Bari are in search of a new goalkeeper for next season.

And according to the Corriere, Inter’s Stankovic is one of the Serie B team’s main targets between the posts.

Genoa keeper Nicola Leali is another option on Bari’s shortlist of possible signings in goal. At the moment, though, Genoa are sorting out their own future in goal now that Josep Martinez is on his way to Inter.

Stankovic spent two seasons on loan with Volendam in the Netherlands, the 2021-22 and 2022-23 campaigns.

There, Stankovic and Inter teammate Gaetano Oristanio helped the Dutch side win promotion from the Eerste Divisie to the Eredivisie. Then in his second season, he helped keep them up.
