Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has been named as his team’s best player in their 3-0 Serie A win over Spezia yesterday evening by Italian media.
The 24-year-old received a 7.5/10 score for his display in the player ratings for the match published in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who name him as man of the match for his decisive impact.
Martinez started brightly yesterday, and he was rewarded for his efforts with his first goal of the season, with his strike partner Romelu Lukaku finding him and then the Argentine doing well to manoeuvre into a shooting position and then slotting home the Nerazzurri’s opener.
Lukaku was given a grade just below his strike partner, 7/10, for a performance in which he failed to get his goal but nevertheless led the line well, whilst all of Denzel Dumfries, Federico Dimarco, Nicolo Barella, and Hakan Calhanoglu received the same grade, as did coach Simone Inzaghi.
