Strike pair Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku were Inter’s two key men in yesterday evening’s 3-0 win over Spezia in Serie A, in the view of Italian media.
The duo were given the best scores in the player ratings for the match published in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, after leading the line and helping to overcome the home side’s resistance without too much trouble.
Spezia’s back three of Jakub Kiwior, Dimitris Nikolau, and Mattia Nikolau as well as keeper Bartolmiej Dragowski did everything they could to stop Inter from scoring, but in the end it was the quality of the Nerazzurri’s strikers that was decisive in settling the match.
Lukaku set up his old strike partner Martinez who finished well to break the deadlock midway through the first half, and after that the Nerazzurri looked to be in full control.
Both strikers were given positive 7.5/10 grades for their displays by the Gazzetta, whilst the likes of Hakan Calhanoglu, Denzel Dumfries, Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, Edin Dzeko, and coach Simone Inzaghi were all awarded just one grade below them, 7/10.
