Legendary former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio feels that after the return of Romelu Lukaku in attack, Inter are now the most complete team in Serie A across the pitch.

Giving his thoughts in a tweet, Marchisio gave the view that at this point the Nerazzurri are the team to have shown the most of any of the top sides in the Italian top flight, and that their Serie A and top four rivals must now respond to them.

Inter were convincing in their 3-0 win over Spezia yesterday evening, and Lukaku’s performance was only one facet of a display which was controlled all over the pitch.

Early indications are that the Belgian’s presence may not have much of an effect on the Nerazzurri’s ability to play the possession-based style that they utilized for much of last season, but could also have a new dimension tom their play in the form of the newly returned striker’s physical style and ability taking defenders on one-on-one.

Marchisio tweeted, “Thanks also to the return of Lukaku, Inter have remained the most complete team for me. This does not mean being the favourites (see last year, without taking anything away from Milan). We’re waiting to see what rivals like Juve, Napoli, and Roma can do.”
