Spezia did not make Inter’s lives as difficult as they perhaps could have in yesterday evening’s Serie A win for the Nerazzurri, but Inter did well to control the match and secure the three points.

This is the appraisal of the match in today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who argue that the Nerazzurri got the job done without much fuss to ensure that their perfect start to the season continued in their home opener at the San Siro.

Spezia took just two shots across ninety minutes at the San Siro, neither of which forced a save out of Inter captain Samir Handanovic, giving some indication of the level of threat that the Ligurians possessed.

It was a professional and compact performance from Luca Gotti’s side, particularly in defense where the back three and goalkeeper Mattia Caldara never made life easy for Inter’s forwards.

However, the Nerazzurri stuck to their game and looked to be in full control, deservedly finding their way through for three goals to make sure that they did not stumble early on against a team that most will have expected them to beat.
