Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi is hoping that his move to Inter can be wrapped up by the end of the week.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 34-year-old’s loan move to the Nerazzurri is now on the verge of happening and that he would like it to be confirmed sooner rather than later.

Inter have an agreement in place with Lazio on a loan move for Acerbi, with the two clubs ready to agree on a paid loan deal with a fee equivalent to Acerbi’s €800,000 in wages for the months of July and August and an option to make the deal permanent.

The Nerazzurri have not wrapped the signing up however, and are still waiting a bit before they pull the trigger and make Acerbi their final signing of the season.

The player, for his part, has always prioritized a move to Inter where he would reunite with former Biancocelesti coach Simone Inzaghi, and has decisively rejected the interest of Marseille, and he does not want to wait much longer.
