Inter are considering between either Lazio’s Francesco Acerbi or Chelsea’s Nathaniel Chalobah to be the last signing of the summer transfer window to complete their defensive depth.
This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports on his homepage that the Nerazzurri are ready to sign Acerbi on loan but are still waiting to see whether they can bring in Chalobah.
Inter will have to make their decision on the defender to be signed to replace Andrea Ranocchia as backup to Stefan de Vrij at the heart of the back three soon, with the transfer window just over a week away from slamming shut.
The agreement would be ready to loan Acerbi with a purchase option from Lazio, but they are also continuing to consider Chalobah, with the Englishman not yet out of the picture.
At the moment, the Nerazzurri have not yet made their decision between Acerbi and Chalobah, although it looks to be down to the two of them, and the decision should arrive soon.
