Only the final details look to be missing on Inter’s move to sign Francesco Acerbi on loan from Lazio, and the Nerazzurri could get it done very soon.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri just need to make the decisive move to wrap up the move, and that they are waiting to make the final decision to sign the 34-year-old.

Inter’s pursuit of Acerbi has finally accelerated over the past week or so, with talks having been ongoing between the Nerazzurri, the Biancocelesti, and the player’s representatives in the past several days after the defender had been the subject of lukewarm links for some time.

The Nerazzurri have not yet fully given up on the possibility of signing Manuel Akanji from Borussia Dortmund, and this could be the reason why they haven’t pulled the trigger on signing Acerbi, but everything is in place for them to do so.
