There are two more obstacles standing in the way of Inter signing Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi on loan, namely dealing with his wages for July and August and determining whether there will be a purchase obligation in the deal.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the substance of an agreement is already in place between the two clubs but that they still must hammer out these two final details.
Acerbi is still owed his wages for the months of July and August, and the Biancocelesti are not keen to pay them if he leaves on loan to join Inter, so he will either have to forego the wages that he is owed or the Nerazzurri will have to pay them in the form of a loan fee to Lazio.
Meanwhile, it still remains to be seen definitively whether there will be a purchase option in the deal, or whether there will be a mandatory obligation for the Nerazzurri to make the deal a permanent one when the 34-year-old’s loan ends.
