Inter midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan could be back from the thigh strain currently keeping him out of action in time for the Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Cremonese.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 33-year-old will miss out on this Friday’s clash with Lazio but that he could already be back to face Cremonese, whilst he is targeting being available for the Milan derby at the start of September.

Mkhitaryan suffered a thigh strain last week which caused him to miss out on the Nerazzurri’s 3-0 win over Spezia, whilst he is also set to be unavailable for their trip to face Lazio.

However, the Armenian is already working on a training pitch again, a positive sign which suggests that he could already be available for selection in the clash with newly-promoted Cremonese.

In any event, the intention has always been to have Mkhitaryan back fully fit for the derby against AC Milan on September 3, and he looks on track for this goal.
