Lazio striker Ciro Immobile feels that the match between the Biancocelesti and Inter is always a special one for the players and fans.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN, the 32-year-old gave his thoughts on why the two sides meeting is always an important match for their respective seasons, whilst he also predicted that Nerazzurri striker Romelu Lukaku would have a great hunger this season and could easily score twenty goals.

Inter will face the first of their big rivals from the top end of the Serie A table when they travel to Rome to face Lazio this week, with their first two Serie A matches having come against Lecce and Spezia respectively.

As Immobile points out, the clash between the two teams has never been one that’s short of drama, and this edition at the Stadio Olimpico promises to be one of the marquee matches of the round of fixtures by far.

“Lazio against Inter is always a very special match for us and for the fans given the linking of the fans, and some of the things that have happened in recent matches.”

“There’s Vecino’s [Champions League deciding] goal a few seasons ago, and then Felipe’s last season. And then we have a desire to confront our past now that our coach has went there,” he continued. “Everyone has that extra motivation.”

Of Lukaku, Immobile said that “I think he has that anger inside of him now, he’ll score between 20-25 goals,” while of Lukaku’s strike partner Lautaro Martinez he predicted “I would say somewhere between 13 and 18.”
