Inter are not planning on completing a deal to sign Francesco Acerbi on loan from Lazio until at least Monday, as they are still pursuing other targets.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri are still working to try and sign either Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah or Borussia Dortmund’s Manuel Akanji and will wait to move for Acerbi until they feel that both other targets are out of reach.

It is uncertain if Inter will be able to convince either Chelsea or Dortmund on a deal for Chalobah or Akanji respectively, but their feeling is that there is still time left in the transfer window, and that things could change with either player’s situation with a week left to go before the window slams shut.

Accordingly, Inter will not rush into signing Acerbi as he is less of a priority than either Chalobah or Akanji, and they will wait until early next week before giving up on the other two targets.
