Italian journalist Fabio Caressa believes that while Inter look strong overall, there is a bit too much of a relaxed attitude to their game from what he’s seen in their opening two Serie A matches.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, via FCInter1908, Caressa concurred with a point made by former Lazio and Torino Luca Marchegiani that the Nerazzurri have not quite been playing with the kind of intensity needed.

Inter have gotten the job done in both of their first two Serie A matches, needing a late winner away to Lecce before cruising to the most straightforward 3-0 wins against Spezia at the San Siro in their second match of the campaign.

The sense particularly against Spezia is that the team have a very good idea of the style of football that they want to play, although this could very well also lapse into complacency if the patterns of play become too automatic.

“I have just one doubt about Inter,” Caressa stated, “which was pointed out to me Luca Marchegiani but which is quite evident – the players look a little too relaxed. It’s a small matter though, you want to play with some peace of mind.”
