Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi is getting closer and closer to joining Inter on loan, although the Nerazzurri are still trying to bring in Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that Nerazzurri President Steven Zhang is at the club headquarters to discuss the strategy as the club inch towards making their final decision.
Inter will not complete a deal for Acerbi until after Friday’s Serie A clash with Lazio, and they are still work on possibly signing Chalobah on loan.
However, everything is fully in place for a deal for Acerbi, which the directors are now speaking with Zhang about as they make their final considerations with respect to the last signing of the summer transfer window.
The Nerazzurri would like to sign Chalobah on loan with a purchase option but would also be ready to sign Acerbi, and Zhang’s presence could indicate that they are starting to get even closer to a decision one way or another.
