Bundesliga side RB Leipzig are set to rival Inter as well as Roma and Tottenham Hotspur to sign Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah on loan.

This according to UK news outlet the Evening Standard, who report that the German outfit want to sign Chalobah as an emergency loan to cover for the injured Lukas Klostermann in defense, and that Chelsea could let him leave if they sign Leicester City’s Wesley Fofana.

Inter have identified Chalobah as one of their main targets to be the final signing of the transfer window, and would want to sign him on loan as a low-cost reinforcement to the back three.

However, Leipzig are also ready to move for the Englishman as they require a similar profile for their own backline following an injury to Klostermann.

The Blues are pursuing Leicester’s Fofana to complete their own defense, and would listen to loan offers for Chalobah in the event that they are able to complete a deal for the Frenchman.
