There is real competition between the likes of Robin Gosens and Federico Dimarco for a starting spot on the left in Inter’s Serie A clash away to Lazio this Friday.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that things are very open between the two as to who will get into the starting eleven, whilst Matteo Darmian is also a consideration.

Gosens made his first Inter start in the team’s Serie A opener against Lecce, whilst it was Dimarco who played in the left-wingback position in their home debut against Spezia last weekend.

Coach Simone Inzaghi has no clear preference between the two, and either of them could be the one to get into the starting eleven when the team travel to Rome to face Lazio.

Gosens had come into the season with the expectation that he would cement a place in the starting eleven for himself, but the form of Dimarco has made things unexpectedly difficult for the German.
