Sassuolo striker Andrea Pinamonti feels grateful for the chances that Inter gave him for his career to progress even though he got few opportunities on the pitch with the Nerazzurri.

Speaking at his unveiling as a Neroverdi player after being sold by Inter, as reported by FCInterNews, Pinamonti gave his thoughts on what he took from his nearly ten years spent with Inter, despite the fact that he rarely played at the senior level.

Pinamonti had one full season as part of Inter’s senior team, having been part of the senior squad during the 2021-22 campaign, although he did not receive a great deal of playing time under Antonio Conte.

However, the 23-year-old had always been a player nurtured and believed in by the club even if the right moment or set of circumstances never came for him to break into the first team.

After last season’s breakout campaign on loan with Empoli, Sassuolo are the team to have placed their faith in Pinamonti, and now his association with Inter ends.

“I’m happy to be here,” Pinamonti said of joining the Neroverdi, “Sassuolo have been trying to sign me for a long time and it makes me proud, I want to have a great season together.”

“It’s a source of great pride to be here because Sassuolo focuses so much on young players, and I believe at this stage they can give me a lot, as I can give something back to them.”

Of his time at Inter, Pinamonti said that “I’ll always be grateful to Inter because they’re a team who welcomed me when I was fourteen years old, and I have no complaints.”

“It’s true that I didn’t have many good opportunities to show what I can do there, but I don’t have any problems in that respect,” he added.
