AC Milan are set to rival Inter for the signing of young Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah who is looking to move away, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media today. 

As has been reported by Sky Sport today, via FCInter1908, AC Milan have got a serious interest in signing Trevoh Chalobah as just like Inter, they need to get a new defender to ensure that they have enough senior depth in the squad.

They would like to take him on loan for one season and have the option to make the deal permanent next summer.

This is a formula that Chelsea are only likely to accept if they can get a deal over the line for Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana who is very keen to join.

Inter have already had confirmation that the player wants to come to them but they must find an agreement with Chelsea.
