He started off by surveying the transfer business of clubs such as Inter, AC Milan and Juventus who have all strengthened their squads this summer.

“Juve have signed champions, then we will see the performance. Milan are continuing on the green line that led to the Scudetto last season. Finally, Inter brought back Romelu Lukaku. Let’s not forget Roma, which is the one that has been reinforced the most.”

When pushed on what his final Serie A table will look like, he boldly claimed that it will be the Nerazzurri and Napoli who will be ahead of the rest of the competition, swiftly followed by AC Milan and AS Roma.

“Inter and Napoli a step above the others, then immediately after Milan and Roma. Juve signed champions to shorten the gap to the leading teams, but they all have a certain age, we’ll have to see how long they will be play for.”

Napoli have had a very impressive start to the season depsite losing Lorenzo Insigne, Dries Mertens and Kalidou Koulibaly who have been key parts of the team for many years.
