Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann has not shied away from the fact that his team are in the toughest Champions League group this season along with Inter, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by FCInternews, Julian Nagelsmann spoke to the media during his press conference on Friday and he was asked for his thoughts on the UEFA Champions League draw which took place on Thursday evening in Istanbul.

Bayern Munich were one of the seeded teams because they are the German champions. They are therefore viewed as the best team in the group but despite that, he has been clear that it is a very tough group with Inter, Barcelona and Viktoria Plzen.

“For sure it is the most challenging group in the group stage, I already have in mind how it could go but I won’t say it now. I think we can finish first. Surely they can no longer say that we are lucky with the draws.”

It would be a surprise if the Bavarian side do not top the group because they have looked imperious in their domestic league so far this season.
