Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is likely to start with Hakan Calhanoglu in the midfield as normal against Lazio rather than Roberto Gagliardini, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport today, the Turkish midfielder was at risk of losing his place to Roberto Gagliardini as the coach was contemplating putting a more physical player in midfield to combat the threat of Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

It was something that was being tried in training during the week running up to Friday’s game at the Stadio Olimpico but now it seems that the usual midfield three will be starting the game against Maurizio Sarri’s side.

It also seems that Federico Dimarco will be prepared on the left wing over Robin Gosens due to the way that he can give the team more structure. It would be a blow for the German who expected to start most games this season.
