Inter need to show against Lazio that they have made an evident leap forward in terms of collective quality, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere della Sera, it is time for the Nerazzurri to show in what way they are a better team than last season where they were beaten to the Scudetto by two points.

This game against Lazio on Friday at the Stadio Olimpico is a great litmus test for the side because the Nerazzurri lost this same fixture fairly early in the previous campaign.

It was one of the four direct clashes that Inter were not able to take all three points in and it was only when they faced Napoli, on the fifth attempt, that points were taken directly away from a rival.

Now that Romelu Lukaku is back and no key players have left besides Ivan Perisic, Inter must show they have improved.
