Lazio is the first game that Inter have in a run of extremely testing fixtures that are close together and will stretch the squad, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, a win against the Biancocelesti would go a very long way to putting Inter into the correct mindset ahead of a very testing period.

After the match at the Stadio Olimpico, Inter have got six matches to play between August 30 and September 18 before there will then be an international break for people to catch their breath.

It starts with Cremonese, then the derby against AC Milan, the first Champions League match, a game against Torino, the second Champions League match and then a trip to face Udinese.

Coming back from the Stadio Olimpico would give the Nerazzurri an extremely welcome boost ahead of so many games in such a short period of time.
