Chelsea have decided that they will not let Inter and AC Milan-linked defender Trevoh Chalobah leave on loan this summer despite the anticipated arrival of Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Blues have already communicated to both clubs that the 23-year-old will be staying past the end of the summer transfer window.

The Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri have both made Chalobah a target as they seek one more defensive signing before the transfer window closes following the departures of Andrea Ranocchia and Alessio Romagnoli respectively on free transfers.

Both clubs have hoped that Chelsea would let Chalobah leave once the Premier League side signed a defender this summer, but in the end the Blues have taken the decision to keep the Englishman, who has also been reported to be target for RB Leipzig, in their squad.

Now, Inter are set to make their move to get a loan move for Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi wrapped up quickly.
