Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni has stressed that Milan Skriniar is calm despite all of the transfer speculations that has surrounded him for the last couple of months, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking during an interview with DAZN after the 3-1 defeat against Lazio on Friday night, via FCInternews, the Italian defender was asked about how Milan Skriniar is feeling given he has been linked with a move to Paris Saint Germain for so long and now they want to sign him on a free transfer.

He stressed that what the press says is very different to the real situation and he can see that the Slovakian defender is very calm.

“The newspapers write a lot, often invented things. He is a guy with a good head, one of my best friends. I see him calm.”

When asked if a defeat like the one against Lazio can do any good, he said that it can when it is so early in the season like this one.

“Definitely, it’s better that a beating like that came at the beginning. We have to regain the compactness of last year, but it’s the third game and we’ll definitely make up for it.”

When asked about Felipe Anderson’s opening goal, he said: “We didn’t see it again. It was a strange game, until 2-1 we had the feeling that we could hurt Lazio.

“Now we have to analyse this defeat and restart strong from Tuesday. If we conceded three goals we did something wrong. We have to analyse with a clear mind without wrapping our heads around it, there are so many games left”.
