Italian journalist Fabio Ravezzani believes that Inter had a strong enough start in yesterday evening’s 3-1 Serie A loss to Lazio but then things came off the rails for them.

Analyzing the match in a tweet, Ravezzani suggested that the Nerazzurri started off looking like they could get something out of their trip to the Italian capital, but that it was the way that the dynamics shifted as things wore on that left them exposed, particularly after Lazio’s goal.

Inter went into yesterday evening’s match with no shortage of confidence after winning their opening two Serie A matches, and they did look as though they were making an effort to impose themselves on proceedings even at the Stadio Olimpico against a strong Lazio team.

However, as the match progressed cracks started to appear in the Nerazzurri’s shape which the Biancocelesti proved more and more adept at exploiting, and once the home side broke through they always appeared to be the team more in control.

Inter started off looking great at the Olimpico, but then they stupidly conceded (it’s on Dimarco). Lukaku was invisible, Barella lacked polish, and the defense fell apart once it was put under pressure,” Ravezzani tweeted.

“Nor did Gagliardini provide them much cover,” he added. “Lautaro and Dumfries their best players. Inzaghi took off the Dutchman for no reason.”
