Former Atalanta and Lecce striker Simone Tiribocchi feels that Inter lacked quality across their 3-1 Serie A defeat at the hands of Lazio.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster DAZN, Tiribocchi gave his thoughts on the match and suggested that the Nerazzurri had not been compact across the pitch and failed to show their quality which is why they fell to their first defeat of the season.

There is little question that Inter’s squad has a great deal of individual quality in it, and across last season and the beginning of this season they have shown that when they are organized they can realize it in a very effective style of play.

However, against the Biancocelesti Inter looked unable to put everything together into a cohesive performance, giving the capital club far too much of the initiative as well as space to operate in, whilst they were not very successful at breaking the opposition down when they had the ball themselves.

“The Nerazzurri’s performance was worrying, they lacked compactness,” Tiribocchi said. “I saw right away that they looked to be playing with a lack of quality.”

“In addition there were too many individual errors,” he added. “That made the difference, while on the other side there was the individual quality of Pedro and Luis Alberto.”
