Former Napoli head coach Giovanni Galeone believes that the Partenopei are the best-placed team to win the Serie A title this season and that Inter are among the teams who will be right behind them.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster Centro Suono Sport 101.5, Galeone gave his Scudetto predictions, with Napoli top of the table him while the Nerazzurri are second in the table and the likes of AC Milan, Roma, Juventus, and Lazio are all in the places behind them.
The first few weeks of the Serie A season have already seen all of the sides at the top end of the table show how strong they can be at certain points, but it has been Napoli who have been the one team with no major stumbles.
The sense is that the Partenopei will be able to keep their level from last season despite losing some key players during the summer, and that they could even improve their level.
Galeone believes that they can go further than last campaign, stating that “I think Lazio will finish first, and then Inter, Napoli, and Roma, Juventus and Lazio can play for fifth.”
