Francesco Acerbi’s Pushing To Join Inter Was Decisive In Getting His Loan Move From Lazio Done, Italian Media Report

The desire of defender Francesco Acerbi to join Inter was a decisive factor in getting his loan move to the Nerazzurri from Lazio done.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 34-year-old had pushed for the move the whole time, and that his willingness to forgo his July and August wages from Lazio also played a major role.

Inter look set to finally wrap up a loan deal for Acerbi after having been linked with his signature for the past several weeks, as well as long before then.

The Nerazzurri had also been looking at other targets, but the negotiations for Acerbi had been the ones that always looked likeliest to lead to an agreement.

A big part of the reason for this, apart from the fact that the 34-year-old is surplus to requirements at Lazio, is that he has consistently went above and beyond to cooperate in negotiations, and has always made his desire clear to the Biancocelesti.
