Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has been heavily criticized across Italian media for his ineffective display in Friday evening’s Serie A loss to Lazio.

The Belgian received very poor scores in the player ratings after the match, as highlighted by L’Interista, with his inability to really get himself into the game noted by all media outlets.

Lukaku had gotten his season off to a decent start with his performances in his first couple of matches back in an Inter shirt, but this came to a crashing halt with his display against Lazio.

The 29-year-old was neither able to get a sniff of goal himself, nor was he able to link up with his teammates or help the team get up the pitch and find a foothold in the match over a sustained period.

All of the likes of the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Corriere dello Sport, Tuttosport, and TuttoMercatoWeb found Lukaku’s display to be worthy of just a 5/10 grade, whilst L’Interista went even lower, to 4.5/10.
