Final OK Still Needed From Inter President Steven Zhang To Complete Loan Signing Of Francesco Acerbi, Italian Media Report

Inter President Steven Zhang has yet to give the final word necessary for the team to complete the signing of Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi on a season-long loan.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that everything is in place for the 34-year-old to complete the switch but that final approval is needed from the clubs before he puts pen to paper on the move.

Inter, Lazio, and Acerbi and his representatives have essentially reached an agreement on all the terms of a season-long loan move containing an option to buy for the former Sassuolo defender.

The medicals should take place within the next couple days and then the Nerazzurri can get the signing wrapped up before the summer transfer window closes, with Acerbi the one remaining option to bolster the defense for the season.

However, Zhang must first give the green light on investing in the 34-year-old’s wages before the move his made official.
