Inter midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan is well on track to be fully fit in view of the Milan derby against AC Milan on Saturday.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the 33-year-old is back in training and will almost certainly be ready to be available to face the Rossoneri over the weekend.
Mkhitaryan has missed a couple of matches for the Nerazzurri with a muscle injury, and the aim has been to not rush the Armenian back and to give him sufficient time to fully recover.
The former Roma midfielder returned to training at partial intensity yesterday, spending part of the training session alongside the rest of the squad before doing some individual work to build up the strength in his muscles.
Now Mkhitaryan is well on track to be fit to face the Rossoneri in a few days’ time, and he should be in the squad.
