Inter President Steven Zhang is reluctant to give the final approval to go ahead with a loan move for Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi before some departures are taken care of.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported on air that the Nerazzurri President has not yet given the green light to a move for Acerbi, whilst coach Simone Inzaghi, CEO Beppe Marotta, and Sporting Director Piero Ausilio are working to convince him.

Inter have looked to be poised to complete a move for Acerbi on loan, but Zhang has decided that he does not want to give the go ahead given that it would entail adding the 34-year-old’s salary onto the wage bill for the season.

Given that the Nerazzurri still have some players who they are looking to offload before the end of the transfer window, the President is reluctant to sanction a move for Acerbi even if he arrives on loan without a fee.
