Viktoria Plzen striker Jan Kliment will be out of at least the Czech side’s first Champions League group stage clash with Inter through injury.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 28-year-old will miss at least 4-6 weeks through his injury after picking it up during his team’s qualifying victory over Azerbaijani side Qarabag.

Viktoria qualified for the group stage and were drawn from Pot 4 into a group containing the Nerazzurri, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona, and as if this were not difficult enough for them they will also have to be without their starting centre-forward.

Kliment picked up the muscle problem during the Czech team’s final qualifying playoff fixture against Qarabag, and while it is not yet precisely clear how long he will be ruled out for, it will at least see him miss the first of two group stage clashes with Inter, which will be in Plzen.
