Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella wants the team to get right back on their feet after suffering a frustrating first loss of their Serie A campaign to Lazio on Friday.

Speaking to InterTV ahead of the Nerazzurri’s clash with Cremonese, the 25-year-old said that he felt sorry for the setback at the Stadio Olimpico but expressed the desire for the team to immediately redeem themselves with a win against Cremonese.

Inter hit their first big stumbling block of the campaign with their loss to the Biancocelesti, but if there is one bright spot it is in the fact that they will immediately have time to regain momentum with three points against Cremonese at the San Siro.

The games are coming thick and fast already at this stage of the season, and no result can be taken for granted against any opponent, but the team will be looking to immediately put bad results like Friday’s in the rearview mirror rather than dwelling on them.

“We’re certainly sorry for the result in Rome, but we’re ready,” Barella said. “Luckily we’re already back on the pitch immediately where we can do better and redeem outselves.”

“Today we’re playing a difficult match against a team who have proved themselves to be strong, but we’re ready,” he added.

Barella continued that “We have a strong team with great values. Everyone who’s played has always been ready. This season we will have to deal with a lot of matches close together, but we’re ready.”

And of playing in front of the home support at the San Siro, Barella said that “Playing at the San Siro is always different from other matches, we can only thank the fans for always sticking by us closely, which they’re proving once again this season.”
