Paris Saint-Germain head coach Christophe Galtier does not believe that his team’s pursuit of Inter defender Milan Skriniar has ended.

Speaking in a press conference, as reported by FCInterNews, the coach stressed that there are still a couple of days left before the transfer window slams shut, and that anything could happen with negotiations not yet dead in the water.

Inter’s stance seems to have changed over the past few weeks, shifting from an apparent willingness to sell Skriniar for the right offer to a determination to keep hold of the Slovakian for the season.

This has made things more difficult for PSG in their interest in signing the 27-year-old, but it does not mean that he is no longer a target for the club from the French capital.

Galtier confirmed as much in his words to the press, as the French coach evidently still believes that there is a possibility that they can break through in talks before the transfer window closes.

“I can’t tell you it’s over,” he said of talks for Skriniar. “He’s been in our sights for a long time, although the negotiations with Inter are difficult. But there are just over 48 hours to go until the transfer window closes.”
