Inter captain Samir Handanovic is likely to be included in the starting eleven for this evening’s Serie A clash with Cremonese at the San Siro in order to provide a stabilizing influence for the team.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that new boy Andre Onana likely would have been included in the eleven had the team not lost to Lazio on Friday, but the decision will be to include the captain in order to make sure the team can rebound.

Onana will have to make his debut for the Nerazzurri sooner or later, even though the 26-year-old has not yet played a competitive match for Inter.

Handanovic has started the first three matches of the season as he is a well-established figure both on the pitch and in the dressing room and his presence provides some continuity for the team to be at their best.

It had been considered to allow Onana to get his first chance to prove himself with a spot in the starting eleven in this evening’s match against newly-promoted Cremonese, but the team currently need a lift following their 3-1 loss to Lazio on Friday.

Therefore, the decision is likely to be to give Handanovic the start once again in order to keep some stability in the team in a match where anything other than three points could feel like a full-blown crisis.
