The agent of Inter wingback Robin Gosens has given an update on the status of the German’s prospective transfer to Bayer Leverkusen, slightly leaning towards the probability of the deal happening.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Radio Radio, the 28-year-old’s agent Paolo Busardo stated that there is a 60% chance of a deal happening and a 40% chance of him remaining at Inter after all.

Talks look to be very much ongoing between Inter and Leverkusen over a possible move for Gosens to the Bundesliga, possibly on loan with a purchase obligation, although time is of the essence given the late stage of the transfer window.

Busardo was candid in his assessment of the state of negotiations, with the agent making clear that a deal is a very concrete possibility.

However, as it stands there is still much that would need to happen over the final couple of days of the window before a transfer could happen, so the agent is far from certain.

“As things stand,” Busardo said when asked about the negotiations, “I’d say there’s a 60% chance that he goes, 40% chance he stays.”
