Inter wingback Robin Gosens is set to stay at the club past the end of the summer transfer window despite talks between the Nerazzurri and Bayer Leverkusen.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the talks between Inter and Leverkusen have broken down and that the 28-year-old will not make the switch.

Leverkusen had reportedly asked for Gosens on loan, and the two clubs made contact regarding a possible move for him over the past couple of days.

However, the negotiations have not amounted to anything concrete according to Sky, and there will be no agreement between the two clubs for Gosens to join the Bundesliga.

The German, who joined Inter from Atalant during the January transfer window but has struggled for form amid some injury issues since his arrival, will stay on at Inter past the transfer window where he will continue to fight for his place in the team.
