New Inter signing Francesco Acerbi has said that he will give everything for the shirt now that he has joined the Nerazzurri, according to a report in the Italian media.

The player retweeted Inter’s announcement of the player on Twitter and decided to make sure the fans are aware of how hard he will be trying when he makes his first appearance for Simone Inzaghi’s side.

“One thing is certain: I will give everything for this shirt.”

The Italian defender has signed for Inter on a loan deal from Lazio, a club that he decided months ago he would like to leave for a fresh challenge. Simone Inzaghi was pushing for him to become the sixth central defender in the squad but there was hesitation from Inter president Steven Zhang over the deal.

Francesco Acerbi is 35 years old which makes it a deal for the short term but as the transfer deadline approached, they needed to get a new defender in to replace Andrea Ranocchia.
