Former Inter defender Daniele Adani says that Inter must try to rejuvenate players such as Robin Gosens this season, according to a report in the Italian media.
In quotes that have been reported by FCInternews, the former defender took stock of the Italian transfer market and the deals that all of the big clubs have done.
He focused on the way that Napoli have refreshed their squad after losing key players such as Lorenzo Insigne, Dries Mertens, Fabian Ruiz and Kalidou Koulibaly.
“It is interesting the project of Napoli, who have renewed their squad. They have lost three stars, Koulibaly, Insigne and Mertens, and a great player like Fabian Ruiz, but they have picked up interesting players: I will watch it closely.”
He also talked about how Juventus are now the strongest and AC Milan have continued to focus on talented youngsters in the market.
“Juve is the strongest of them all, AC Milan continues along the line of young players while also paying attention to economic needs.”
He then talked about how Inter need to rejuvenate the players that did not leave the club but were linked with moves. The main example is Robin Gosens who nearly left for Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the window but it did not happen.
“Finally, Inter must also try to rejuvenate those who did not start, regaining the defensive strength they lost in these first outings. And it must revalue Gosens.”
