Paris Saint Germain boss Christophe Galtier has stressed that the most important thing is the market being over when asked about Inter’s Milan Skriniar, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during his press conference ahead of PSG’s next Ligue 1 fixture, via FCInternews, Christophe Galtier refused to be drawn into many specifics when asked about the failed pursuit of Inter defender Milan Skriniar.

He decided to focus on the fact that the transfer market has finally closed and he can just focus on the football now instead.

“The most important thing is that this market session is over. We will do with the squad I have at my disposal, which is of quality.”

It is no secret that PSG wanted a centre-back this summer of a high level and they did not get one. The coach stressed that a good coach can adapt to what they have and that is what he will do.

“Since we are talking about it, I don’t want to change the system, one of the qualities a coach must possess is adaptation. It is preferable to start with the organisation we have been working on for two months, but we may have to adapt because a player will be missing.”

There are suggestions that they will come back into the market for Milan Skriniar in January, to which he said: “You know, for a coach the January window is a long way off, in this sense I have total confidence in Luis Campos who plays in advance. I have to stay focused on the many games.”
